These days, accessorizing with tanzanite is going to draw a lot of attention thanks to the popularity and ever growing scarceness of this beautiful stone. As you choose your jewelry for any particular outfit, consider that tanzanite is so stunning that it can take center stage.

There are many ways to accessorize with tanzanite. You may choose one or several different pieces of jewelry. While some jewelry is worn on an everyday basis such as small earrings or a small necklace, some pieces are only appropriate with evening attire. Usually, these are larger pieces with more stones, but can also be small and detailed. Whatever your preference, tanzanite is going to draw the desired attention.

Nothing draws attention more than a necklace. The beauty of a woman’s neck can be unparalleled. In addition, women choose the neckline of their garment based on what is most flattering to their décolletage, collar bone, and neck. The style of necklace that she chooses to wear is directly related to the neckline of her garment.

A tanzanite choker could possibly be the most stunning piece of jewelry in any woman’s collection. A tanzanite choker, like any choker, draws direct attention to the neck. The beauty of a tanzanite choker is that it can be simple or ornate and will still garner the same desired effect. This means that little other jewelry is needed in addition to the tanzanite choker. It is enough to accessorize your outfit perfectly without overdoing it.

In addition to your tanzanite choker, you may consider smaller pieces. Just remember that a tanzanite choker is going to draw attention and that is why other pieces of jewelry should be kept to a minimum. This may include stud or small dangly or hoop earrings as well as a cocktail ring and/or a bracelet. Tanzanite is most often paired with diamonds so it is possible to mix and match with jewelry that is diamonds only. In keeping this simple, your tanzanite choker will take center stage without you having to compromise the rest of your accessories.

As you shop for that perfect tanzanite choker, remember that tanzanite is becoming rarer every day. Look for tanzanite that is darker in color because it is more valuable and will continue to gain value. While tanzanite will look beautiful set in any color, it truly pops when set in a white gold or platinum. Remember to also check for the quality of any other stones that may be used within the tanzanite choker. While tanzanite does not yet have a grading system, other gemstones do and your jeweler should be able to discuss the grading with you.

A tanzanite choker is going to make a beautiful addition to your jewelry collection. Follow these simple guidelines and you can be sure that your tanzanite choker is going to be noticed!

Tanzanite and diamond jewelry is so popular right now that you shouldn’t even be reading this! You should be at the jeweler to get your hands on it before it is gone! Gone? Yes, gone. Tanzanite is running out quickly since it is only mines in a single, small country. This may explain why it has become so popular! Everyone wants what they can’t have and what other people covet. And yet, Tanzanite and diamond jewelry is considered by many to be beautiful beyond any other existing jewelry.

Why tanzanite and diamond? Diamonds are beautiful in their own right, but when placed next to tanzanite, they make a beautiful gem even more brilliant! If you look at tanzanite on its own and then place it with diamonds, it seems to sparkle more and even the hue changes.

The hue of the tanzanite is just as important as the grade of the diamond. Since there is currently no standard grading for tanzanite, it can be hard to gauge. The range of color is vast; from a light periwinkle to a deep purple and everything in between. It has been deemed that the darker the stone, the more value that is placed on it. You can find many choices from dark to light in our Tanzanite Auction.

I admit it, I’m an Amazon junkie. I get a lot of what I need off the web, and Amazon is one of the best ecommerce sites out there. I was skeptical when I heard about Amazon Prime and their free trial. Two day shipping free- one day shipping for $3.99. Nope, that’s not a typo, for four bucks you can ship millions of eligible items (items Amazon stocks, as opposed to it’s partners) to your house. Free for a whole month. After that they bill you an ANNUAL fee of $79.
Here’s what Amazon has to say:

Amazon Prime members enjoy the following benefits:
Fast Delivery
• Unlimited Free Two-Day Shipping on millions of items
• Upgrades to One-Day (Overnight) Shipping for just $3.99 per item

Simple Shopping
• No minimum purchase required
• Members-only 1-Click buttons on product pages
• No need to think about shipping charges

Convenient Sharing
• Members can share benefits with up to four family members living in the same household

Free Trial
• Amazon Prime new subscribers are invited to try Amazon Prime free, for one month.
After the Free Trial period, customers will be automatically charged the $79 annual fee unless they choose not to upgrade to regular annual memberships at or before the end of the trial period.

So I signed up for the free month, figured I’d order a few things and then cancel. Well the membership paid for itself when I ordered a big piece of exercise equipment. I paid an additional $4 for next day service, figuring I’d get an email explaining I couldn’t do that. Nope, next day it showed up on my doorstep. Suddenly I was able to expect 2 day delivery for free. I find myself upgrading to next day service quite a bit, it’s just nice to have what I need exactly when I want it. A month goes by, I did some math and my shipping last year was already over what a prime membership costs- so I took the plunge. I’ve been happily ordering for months- if you regularly order from Amazon it’s worth your time to take a close look at Amazon Prime.

Tanzanite is one of the hottest gemstones available today and it is only going to gain in popularity as it becomes more and more scarce. Oddly enough, many people still have not heard or seen this gemstone. Or perhaps they have seen it only to believe it was a sapphire or amethyst. This is a common mistake since tanzanite can range in color from a light purple to a very dark purple and everything in between. I can assure you however that tanzanite will be a gemstone that everyone will know about very soon!

Tanzanite can only be found in Northern Tanzania which is obviously where the gem’s name originated. Since it can only be found in such a small area, it is eventually going to become scarce. After all, this is a non-renewable resource. Unless tanzanite is discovered in other areas, the limited supply is going to eventually dwindle to nothing.

This scarcity is causing the rising prices and rising popularity of tanzanite jewelry. As of yet, there is no agreed upon grading for this specific gemstone. However, it is commonly known that the darker the stone is, the more valuable it is. Those darker stones are also the rarest. If you were to look in franchised jewelry stores, then you are likely to only find lighter colored jewelry. The more expensive counterpart is reserved for high end jewelry that the majority of us cannot afford! This fact should not dissuade anyone from purchasing lighter colored tanzanite; it is still beautiful and valuable.

The important thing to consider when choosing tanzanite jewelry is how it will be worn. It is not a very hard gemstone and so it needs to be worn carefully. For this reason, many people choose to purchase tanzanite earrings and necklaces. Rings and bracelets can suffer some damage since they come into contact with so many hard objects. Every woman has had one of those moments when she unwittingly slams her hand into a door, on a counter, or against a wall. Immediately, she checks her ring to make sure that it remained intact. It is a horrible feeling even when wearing a hard stone like diamonds. The fact is that a tanzanite ring may not withstand the beatings of everyday life.

As with every other gemstone, there are imitations being manufactured. These particular imitations are known as tanzanique. In addition, there is a periwinkle colored cubic zirconia that is also being passed off as a tanzanite imitation. Tanzanite is one of the most beautiful gemstones available today. Since we know that this is a resource that will soon be diminished, we have the ability to purchase our own share of this precious gemstone.

Tanzanite RingTanzanite was unknown to the world until it’s discovery by Massai tribesmen in 1967. Tanzanite is a form of zoisite, and is normally gray until it’s exposed to extreme heat. In what was a fortunate accident for jewelry lovers the world over, lightning started a bush fire near a deposit and the tribesman found it. It made its way to Tiffany and Company in 1969, and they introduced this special gem to the world.
